Congress Venue and Language
The Congress will take place in the facilities of the Czech Technical University, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture (in Czech: CVUT - Fakulta stavebniho inzenyrstvi a architektury), Praha 6 - Dejvice, at Technicka and Thakurova Streets (Metro A, Station Dejvicka, on route from the airport to the city centre).
The Congress language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Congress Office and Registration
It is assumed that Congress participants will arrive and register starting from Saturday, 26 August. The Congress Office will be open for registration, accommodation, information and related matters at the Congress site on Saturday, 26 August at 14-20 h. and on Sunday, 27 August at 10-19 h. The Office will operate from Monday till Thursday at 8-17 h.
Any payments in the Congress Office can be settled in cash or by credit cards. Most of convertible currencies will be accepted but Czech Crowns are preferred. Nearby bank services are available during weekdays.
The Congress will be inaugurated by the festive Opening Ceremony on Sunday, 27 August at 20-22 h. in the Municipal House of Prague.
The Congress will be convened by Tomas Misek, President of the Czech Society of Chemical Engineering. Program: Opening ceremony, awards, organ recital in the Smetana Hall. Afterwards a glass of wine in the adjacent ceremonial saloons. Admitance with the personal invitation card only (enclosed in the Congress materials).
The Congress fee will not be refunded if participation in the Congress is cancelled after 15 July 2000.
Usually, sunny weather with pleasant temperatures about 20-25 C can be expected. Occasional showers cannot be excluded. For more accurate situation, please check the weather forecasts by Intellicast or CNN.
